“The songs on ‘The Way’ were written in Melbourne and Hobart between July 2002 and April 2003. The album was recorded in Sydney at a friend’s (Matt Hayes, the drummer from Stuff Smith) studio . It had a sort of lounge room feel and I wanted the CD to sound like a private gig for one. We started in April and finished in June.
